From time to time some of our new players arriving from regional and overseas seek assistance for various reasons to help with relocation and living costs while playing their hockey at Waverley.
We regularly receive enquiries from overseas and country or interstate players to come play at our club. These young men and women generally weigh up the reputation of the club in how it is coached and able to offer guidance/assistance to make their stay both rewarding and enjoyable when considering where to play. As the club approaches its 60th year, a group of Waverley hockey aficionados are opening the vaults and putting together a detailed history of the Club. To assist this process, we are looking for a copy of the first club history publication, “Hockey in Waverley : the first 25 years” Read More
The Senior Registration information released on the website in February there included a Social Membership option. For non-playing family, friends, spectators, Club Administrators or other supporters of Waverley the social membership is a great way to support the Club. Read More
Waverley Hockey Club Working Bee this Saturday 19th March from 9:00am to 4:00pm. There are a number of things to achieve on the day to get the ground and clubrooms up to scratch for the start of the season. If you are available please consider coming down for a few hours to help out where you can.
Attendance will also provide up to 20 volunteer points under the new volunteer policy!
There have been some changes to the Executive Committee at Waverley. The following people have needed to resign their positions:
- Mike Brooks, held the position of Junior President
- Roger Head, held the position of Vice President
- Don Larter, held one of the General Committee positions
