Dear members, parents and supporters of the Waverley Hockey Club,
The Australian Labor Party has committed $1 million dollars towards constructing a second synthetic hockey pitch at Ashwood Reserve should the local candidate, Jennifer Yang, win the seat for Chisholm and the Shorten Government win the election. Jennifer has been very supportive of our plans for future growth and her commitment towards building a second pitch will allow us to:
- Offer more convenient training times
- Grow our important junior programs for local kids
- Host Hockey Victoria tournaments in the future
- Provide world class facilities to our members
What an exciting time for the club as we wait on the outcome of the election and what the future holds for us. Don’t forget to grab an iconic ‘sausage in bread’ after lodging your vote at your local polling booth.
