🏆 SENIOR GRAND FINALS 🏆
WHAT A YEAR!
Our Women’s Premier League side are PREMIERS for the first time in 16 years! 🏆
Written off for being too young, this group never stopped believing in what they could achieve together. With the entire Waverley community behind them, the girls showed incredible fight and held on for a 1-0 victory over Southern United. Creating a moment that will live in our club’s history forever.
Pennant A held their nerve to claim the flag in a thrilling shootout against Mentone, while Pennant D completed an incredible season by overcoming Camberwell! Our Premier League Reserves side fell just short, losing to Camberwell in a shootout after an outstanding season as minor premiers.
The most special part was seeing the passion of the entire Waverley community; players, coaches, families, friends and supporters all showing up and cheering for every team.
Everyone supporting everyone. Three flags. One proud club. Panther pride at its very best 💙
The results were:
🔵 Premier League women: 1-0 WIN 🏆
⚪ Pennant A women: 4-2 (shootout) WIN 🏆
🔵 Pennant D women: 2-1 WIN 🏆
⚪ Premier League Reserves women: 5-3 (shootout) Loss 🥈
Congratulations to all!
