The Waverley Hockey Club is registered with the Australian Sports Foundation to assist in maintaining our facilities at a high level. The link to the Australian Sports Foundation for tax deductible contributions is https://asf.org.au/projects/waverley-hockey-club/.
The club is regularly reviewing required capital projects and all donations will assist with the necessary funding. Our current focus is funding past and future upgrades of our playing surface. Donations during the current COVID-19 pandemic are crucial contributions to this cause.
Other major infrastructure projects that we also hope to progress in the medium term include potential relocation of our dugouts to the opposite side of the pitch to aid viewing from the clubhouse and providing a permanent technical bench and upgrading of facilities inside and around the clubhouse.
Anyone who would like further information or to provide feedback is encouraged to contact Drew Ashton on 0413 433 324.
The Australian Sports Foundation Ltd. (ASF) was established by the Australian Government to assist organisations to raise funds to develop sport in Australia through public & corporate donations. Pursuant to the ASF’s listing in Division 30, section 30-90 of the Income Tax Assessment Act (1997) donations to the ASF are tax deductible.
Donors must contribute unconditionally to the ASF to claim a tax deduction, however, the ASF’s structure makes it possible for a donor to nominate a registered project as the preferred beneficiary of their gift. The Waverley Hockey Club Inc. – Facilities Fund, project no. 202026, is registered with and conducted under the charter of the ASF (ABN 27 008 613 858).
