Waverley run several options over summer including:
1. Summer Sixes
Summer Sixes is a small field version of outdoor hockey. It is a great way to either further develop skills or give hockey a try!
Players will be grouped into teams based on age and a mix of abilities.
Age groups: U8, U10, U12 and U14
Friday nights: U8/10 5.30-6.30, U12 6.30-7.30, U14 7.30-8.30
Duration: 6 weeks – Friday 9 November to Friday 14 December
Cost: $50 per player

U14 & U16 players who wish to learn / extend their skills in umpiring or coaching they may volunteer to umpire / coach summer sixes. If you are interested in doing this please let us know via email@example.com
2. Indoor Hockey
A 5 or 6 a side competition (numbers vary between age groups & venues) with a goal keeper and five field players played on an indoor surface up to 40m x 20m with wooden boards down each side of the court. It is a very fast game which is popular in Europe and is becoming more so in Australia. Playing indoor certainly improves skills and decision making and is the perfect vehicle to ready yourself for outdoor hockey over the summer. Better suited to more experienced players. Program for beginners to hockey. Our next program will be held in term 1 2019, commencing 23rd February. A ‘come and try’ hockey morning will be held prior to Hookin2Hockey 11am Saturday 16th February 2019 at the Waverley Field.
4. 2019 Preseason Academy
Back by popular demand. The preseason academy will run again February 2019. The academy is dedicated training and skills development to take all players to the next level in preparation for the 2019 season. Coaching provided for all levels sourced from our most experienced past and present senior players. Past feedback has said it all, one of the club’s most popular offerings to develop our players.
