Coaching Fee Relief Policy

1) Purpose of the Policy

The purpose of this policy to outline any fee relief a Coach maybe entitled to for coaching an outdoor team. It should be noted that Waverley is a not for profit organization. Fees collected contribute to the actual running costs of the club entering teams and operating the club. Generally, fee relief cannot be offered as it reduces the ability of the club to cover its costs.

2) Definitions
Coach(es) a person appointed by the junior committee to coach a junior team. A coach refers to Senior and Assistant Coaches, unless otherwise specified

3) Fee Relief for Outdoor Coaches

a) Any senior player who performs the duties as a Senior Coach of a Waverley junior outdoor team is entitled to a percentage off their Senior Playing Fees for that year in appreciation of the time and expertise of coaching. The quantum of Fee relief will be determined by the Waverley Executive committee on an annual basis and communicated at the start of the outdoor season.

b) Any senior player who performs the duties as an Assistant Coach of a Waverley junior outdoor team is entitled to a percentage off their Senior Playing Fees for that year in appreciation of the time and expertise of coaching. The quantum of Fee relief will be determined by the Waverley Executive committee on an annual basis and communicated at the start of the outdoor season.

i) The quantum of Fee Relief for Assistant Coaches will be less than that of Senior Coaches.

4) Fee Relief for Indoor Coaches

a)Fee relief is not generally available to Coaches in relation to Coaching an Indoor team. However, the Waverley Executive may decide to offer some fee relief in limited circumstances in response to a written application.
