The Executive Committee wish to advise members of the passing of Waverley Hockey Club Life Member Les Large and to pay tribute to his contribution to our club.
Les was a founding member of the Waverley Hockey Club, elected as the first Treasurer in 1959, and played a large part in creating the Club we now enjoy. Les worked tirelessly in the early years as both a player and administrator and in his later years enjoyed coaching in the Women’s unit and watching Waverley succeed on the field.
The funeral details are as follows:
Thursday 19th February 2.30pm at Allison Monkhouse, corner of Stud Road and Burwood Highway. Refreshments after.
