In what was already a sad week for the Waverley Hockey Club with Neil Brooks’ funeral, we have also had the further sad news of Brian Freeman’s passing. Brian will be fondly remembered by many members of Waverley as a very friendly face around the Club and an always present and vocal supporter of Waverley, particularly the mens and women’s Premier League teams. Brian was also a contributor behind the scenes and helped out in many roles, especially in a long stint as the men’s Chairman of Selectors.
He will be missed greatly by many at Waverley and we pass on our condolences to Heather, Matt & Tash and the wider Freeman family.
Brian’s viewing will be held at The Anglican Church of Ascension.
